Future's Coffee Collective is a local, up-and-coming coffee shop owned by Paul and Rachel McCurnin. Over the past decade, they have spread their knowledge about coffee, far and wide. Their goal in doing this is to educate others about coffee, all while running a successful business out of Layton, Utah.

"A passion was sparked when a need was seen for more roasters in an ever-expanding market where people are desiring the taste of small-batch coffee, rather than the disconnected experience of giant companies who don't have the time to get to know each of their customers."

This desire led to my very personalized experience the first time I went. From the get-go, the owner Paul welcomed me and said goodbye with a smile, even though I was only there to study. I had a chance to meet a fellow employee who made me a delightful tea and engaged in quite a bit of conversation. It's not every day that you go to a cafe and the workers are actually interested in your life. This is a very good tactic for bringing back customers.

What makes Futures Coffee Collective worth visiting is that Paul and Rachel implement their love for Christ into their business. Contrary to what you may believe, religious people who thoroughly enjoy coffee do exist. The McCurnin's encourage partnership with pastors and various churches because they do anything they can to support mission work. Some of their funds go towards missions and ministry education.
